More Baby pics

Although this is a site for Sarah, we haven't got one setup yet for William so "baby brother" is getting some space on here. A photographer came around at the hospital and got some real nice shots. Follow the link below and use the passcode to see them.

Enjoy!

It's a boy!

William Robert Smith arrived this morning at 8:35am.  He was excited to be out of Andrea’s belly since he is 9 pounds, 13 ounces and measuring in at 22 inches. Andrea was excited when they pushed him out of her belly because “I can breathe again”. He has passed all of his tests and Andrea is doing well considering the major surgery this morning.  Sport enjoyed watching his delivery and videotaped portions of the delivery.

Sarah arrived this evening with Grandma & Grandpa Clark. She was initially scared of Will being outside Mommy’s belly and Mommy having lots of IVs attached to her. She really enjoyed her first visit with her baby brother and keep wanting to hold and feed him. She is going to be a great helper once we get him home.

More pictures to follow once we get home. Expecting to be home by Sunday.
He has been sleeping most of the day so we are waiting to see if we get any sleep tonight. Keep your fingers crossed!

Long Weekend Out With dad

Andrea is busy with Year end accounting stuff so Sarah and Daddy spent a few days up at the lake just the two of us. Fishing was how we spent most of the time but we also did plenty of swimming, swinging and playing outdoors.

Sarah can take a pretty good picture now and helped get a shot of this lunker.

Hard to see but a pretty rainbow was out for us one day. (Left of her)

When Sarah gets tired of fishing she can take a little break on the back deck.

Goofy Sarah

Swimming at Moses Lake. This involved throwing a ball and racing to get it along with trying to catch the many minnows that were following us around.

And by far the fan favorite pic...

Potty Fishing! She slid a nice little largemouth onto the deck from her comfortable throne.

Thanks for checking us out. More coming soon.

A Quick Note from Mom

Sport says I am not posting enough blogs..so he provided me an email account so THIS IS A TEST.. he he.

Sarah and I spent most of last weekend playing Nick Jr computer games. She is getting really good at moving the mouse around the computer but Mommy is tired to Diego and Dora already. Maybe, I could get her to blog her own entries soon regarding her activities. Someday soon.

Guess Who Turned Three?

I realized I am very behind on entries. I will do my best to catch up a little right now.

Sarah turned three a couple months ago. We didn't have a big party but sarah had a good time and got plenty of gifts. Thanks go out to the grandparents, Aunts and Uncles and well and my Aunts Dee and Kathy for the great gifts. A few pics below of the event. The weather was fantastic, especially considering it snowed the day Sarah was born.

Top three things said to sarah on the average day

Ever feel like you say the same thing over and over again? We do. Here are the top three things constantly being preached at the Smith house lately.

#1 "Take that out of your mouth!"
#2 "I said come here!"
#3 "Where did your clothes go?!" ( she just loves to take them off)

I hope you get a laugh out of this.

Summer Is In The Air and A Few Little Tales

Just over a week ago we were snowshoeing in the back yard, Today we had mid 50's and we dug last years crop of carrots out of the garden. Just never got to it last year. Sarah ate a good bunch of them before we got them in the house.
The sap started to run finally today. The trees (only three of them) were tapped a couple weeks ago when it seemed weather was perfect but nothing came. The sun finally came out today and they started to run. Sarah likes to run and check the buckets.

Sarah has given up taking naps 9 days out of 10. Making it tough on dad and his gout toe. Yeah thats right dad is an old man with gout and cant seem to kick it. For all you go to the doctor types...I called for an appointment and they couldn't see me till end of May.

Sarah ran up to the truck today and gave it a big kiss. "I love you Blue" She said with a big smile. Dad was so proud.

Just a quick note to keep everyone up to date. We will try to get some more fun posts up in the near future.

Growing up so fast

Sarah has been busy this winter. Mornings at the theater, afternoons in the pool, evenings spent dancing and practicing at bouncy (gymnastics) class. Not to mention fishing with dad and other winter fun.

Yes we are nearing the stereotypical over booked child but not quite. Dance is 30 minutes on Monday nights. The jury is still out on weather or not she really likes it. Swim class is Tuesday and is a must as far as dad is concerned considering the amount of time we may be spending on the boat next summer. Gymnastics is wed evening and is quality time reserved for mommy and Sarah. Dad has started Fly tying classes on these nights. A new cozy Ice shack has proven to be a big hit with Sarah. Pictures below will attest to it. Here are a few of some recent fun.

Here Fishy fishy fishy...                                                                                    Got one!

Catching fish is a lot of work as you can tell.

Sarah has also been doing a great job of learning to use the potty. Mom and dad have been thrilled with this development as most parents would be. It does make for some interesting situations however like how to go when out on the ice. Boy scout rule...always be prepared.

Well we just wanted to share a little bit and let everyone see how big Sarah is getting. Check back for more Sarah fun and check out http://blog.sportsmithfishing.com/ for more fishing news and stories. Remember to support our advertisers and help build that college fund!

Thanks!

Winter has come to Minnesota...and Sarah loves it.

Although many may dread the idea of cold snowy weather, Sarah simply cant get enough. The Snow is almost mesmerizing to her and everything that comes with Christmas time has just added to the fun. From Skating and sledding to Santa and cookies the past month has been a good time for Sarah. Below are a few pics that show a few high lights.

Sarah wasn't feeling real photogenic at the theater this day. She still thought the sugar plum fairies were great!

I never have met a 2 year old that really likes Santa. Sarah is no different.

Skating on the pond. She has gotten much better than last year. She still needs a little help every now and then.

Mommy's little helper in the kitchen.

Sledding and falling in the snow provides hours of fun. Hot cocoa is often the only way to get her back inside.

Sarah's artwork has also grown and she loves to try different colors as you can tell by the handful above.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Holidays.
