Sarah takes in her first NBA game
I picked up a couple tickets to the Minnesota Timberwolves VS. the LA Lakers game for last night. A fellow stay at home dad had them and wasn't able to use them so I figured Andrea and I could get out and have a little date night. As it turned out we were unable to get a babysitter on late notice so we decided to bring Sarah along. I didn't pay anything for the tickets so worst case scenario was we would waste 10$ on parking and only get to watch a few minutes of ball.

The seats were upper level so we knew there would probably be plenty of room for Sarah to move around and not have to worry about her spilling her water or throwing her hot dog at some unlucky fan.

As it turned out...She loved it. We sat her in her own seat and handed her a bag of popcorn and she just stared in amazement at the sights before her. She watched as the players ran up and down the court. danced to the music with the dance team, and especially loved the Kodak zeppelin that flew around dropping prizes to the crowd. She kept yelling to the guy in the rafters to drop it back down and fly it around some more.

(The pictures aren't great but it was a little too dark for the camera phone)
After watching the home team keep up with the heavily favored Lakers, Sarah even helped as best she could by howling with the crowd during Laker free throws. We all had a great time but half way through the 4th period it got a little too far past Sarah's bedtime and she was done. We called it a night and started the walk back to the car. Definitely a worthwhile trip and she only threw one sock down a row or two.
I cant wait till the twins are playing day games in the new stadium. I think Sarah and I will be catching a few games.
